Procedure and Reporting "whistleblowing" – D.Lgs. 24/2023

Legislative Decree 24/2023 of March 10, 2023, on "Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 23, 2019, on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law and on provisions regarding the protection of persons who report breaches of national laws" (hereinafter the "Decree"), significantly expanded the scope of application of the whistleblowing regulations, which previously were limited for the private sector to only those entities with an Organization, Management and Control Model pursuant to D. Legislative Decree 231/2001 ("Model 231").

In fact, the new Decree stipulates that whistleblowers may submit, in order to protect the Company's integrity, reports regarding unlawful conduct relevant not only under Legislative Decree 231/2001 or violations of the 231 Model, which includes the Code of Conduct, but also regarding violations of European Union law and national transposing legislation referred to in the Decree.

The Company has therefore equipped itself, in compliance with the Decree, with specific reporting channels and has updated the former Procedure "Management of the Reporting System (whistleblowing)," referable to each of the Electrolux Group companies in Italy, which is available at the links below and which describes in detail the channels and methods by which reports can be made:

This procedure has also been fully referred to in the general part of the 231 Model adopted by each of the Electrolux Group companies in Italy and is an integral part of it.
